About Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County
Every day, in every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care after–school. Worse, many of these kids are surrounded by drugs, gangs, violence, and other negative influences in their own neighborhoods, right here in Maury County.
These young people need to know that someone in their life cares for them and is looking out for them. Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County provides this and much more for Maury County’s youth. It gives them hope, opportunity, and the tools they will need to succeed in life. The Club offers young people what they need and want most:
- Adults who respect and listen to them
- A safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves
- Interesting, educational activities that channel their energy into challenging pursuits
All Boys & Girls Club programs are based on a youth development strategy that builds self-confidence and self-esteem, and fosters a sense a belonging, competence, usefulness and influence.
Since founding in 1999, Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County has been at the forefront of youth development, working with those young people who need the Club most to provide what they need. Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County is dedicated to making Maury County a better place to live and work by ensuring that all children that walk through our doors graduate from high school ready for college or employment and reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
