COLUMBIA, TN – Jan. 30, 2020 – Local paint retailer Columbia Paint & Wallcover has launched its own product, Muletown Paint, and is contributing $2 from every gallon to Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County. Representing the company, Zach Maddux made a special trip to the Columbia Teen Center Boys & Girls Club location at 210 W 8th St to present a $550 check from 2019 sales. Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County CEO, Robyn Peery, and some of the benefitting kids were on hand to receive the funds that will be used to help with the Boys & Girls Clubs mission of enabling all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Although Columbia Paint & Wallcover is a Benjamin Moore retailer, the company wanted to provide another choice of paint for their customers that was formulated to meet the most common needs. The result was Muletown Paint. “We just launched the Muletown Paint line last year and wanted to do something with it that would benefit our community,” Zach Maddux explained, “We are impressed with the work that Boys & Girls Clubs do every day so, it made perfect sense for us to partner with them.” Mrs. Peery replied, “We love partnering with local business owners like the Maddux family. Who knew that you could paint your living room and donate to Boys & Girls Clubs at the same time?” Columbia Paint & Wallcover was so pleased with the response that they have committed to continue the promotion. “We hope that we can have an even larger contribution in 2020,” Zach said.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County serves 1,200 youth each year with their fourteen locations offering after school programs, help with homework, and other educational activities for youth.
Columbia Paint & Wallcover is a family-owned business that has been in Columbia since 1946.
