Director of Resource Development
Katie Rysiewicz joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County as the Director of Resource Development (formerly the Director of Special Events & Community Engagement) in September 2020. Katie graduated from Central Michigan University’s Business School in 2016 where she majored in hospitality and marketing. In 2017, she made the move from Michigan to Middle Tennessee to continue to pursue her career in the hospitality industry. During her time in the hospitality industry, Katie worked for reputable hospitality firms including Provenance Hotels and Hilton. She experienced amazing successes including being part of a complete property renovation and the opening of the new Hilton Franklin Cool Springs property in 2018.
After experiencing a life altering injury, Katie felt the call to leave the hospitality industry behind and pursue a career in the non-profit world. She felt compelled to give back to the Middle Tennessee community who welcomed her with open arms. Katie began her career in the non-profit sector with the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, TN as Corporate Relations Manager. During her time with the Heritage Foundation, Katie was quickly promoted to Director of Corporate Relations, she increased their sponsorship revenue for cash and in-kind sponsors by 32% from the previous year, and was integral in planning the most successful Dickens of a Christmas Festival in Heritage Foundation’s History in 2019. Katie looks forward to continuing her career within the non-profit sector at Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County. She believes that all children should be given the same opportunities and resources to reach their full potential, and she’s excited that her work with Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County will contribute to this and allow her to continue to give back to the community she loves and calls home. As Director of Resource Development, Katie oversees the organization’s special events, corporate sponsor relationships, and community engagement efforts. Outside of work, Katie enjoys cooking, experiencing live music of any sort, traveling and experiencing new cultures, spending time with animals, and appreciating the little things life has to firstname.lastname@example.org (931) 490-9401 x2604
