2020 Summer Program


Our summer program is slated to run May 26th – July 31st. There will be some significant changes made to protect all children and staff and help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please be sure you read this letter in its entirety, as it contains important information you will need throughout the Summer Session.


All enrollment for summer 2020 will be handled electronically. 

Eligible parents should email to request our DocuSign application. VERY IMPORTANT: In your email, please state the number of children you are seeking to enroll. We will send you one application per child.

Our staff will then send you an application via DocuSign. Date/time of application completion will be tracked via DocuSign. IMPORTANT: Please check your Spam/Junk folder for the DocuSign document, as it often goes there for some email providers.  When the application has been completed in DocuSign, we will then email an electronic invoice for the first week’s payment/enrollment fee via Square to parents based on the order of DocuSign document receipt.  In order to secure your slot, you must complete both the DocuSign application AND pay the Square invoice within 24 hours of receipt.  If the invoice has not been paid within 24 hours, we will proceed down the list invoicing the next family, in the order in which applications were received.

Your slot is not secured until you have 1) completed the DocuSign application, 2) received and paid your Square invoice, and 3) received an official “Notification of Acceptance” email from Club staff.   

COVID-19 Program Alterations:

Child safety is always our number one priority. In response to the current CDC guidelines and local health official recommendations, unfortunately our capacity to provide services this summer will be limited. We will have to maintain no greater than a 1:12 ratio and enforce 6 feet of social distancing between participants in all program spaces. Due to the size of physical spaces at some of our sites, we will also be consolidating some locations. Therefore, we have the following number of spaces available at these locations for the summer:

Randolph Howell (to serve Wayne Street and Randolph Howell members)


Culleoka Unit School


Mt. Pleasant Elementary


Marvin Wright Elementary


Baker Elementary School



Hours of Operation:

In order to stretch limited resources and staffing to serve as many children as possible this summer, all Club sites** will operate from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.

**The Pulaski Club will operate from 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Program Eligibility:

These spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Because of this limited capacity, we will only be accepting current members. Only members who attended during the Summer Session of 2019 or the After-School program for the 2019-2020 school year will be admitted. In order to be eligible for admission to the summer program, parents MUST be current on their fees and make any payments that were owed before the school year program shut down in March. Please contact your child’s Unit/Area Director if you need to make payment arrangements to get caught up.

Enrollment Process:

For everyone’s safety, and to ensure a fair allocation of limited spots, we will be handling the enrollment process electronically this year through DocuSign. Parents will be admitted in the order in which their application is received, based on the date and timestamp of completion in DocuSign. Enrollment will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 11th. More instructions will be posted later this week for the electronic enrollment process on our website and our Facebook page , and will also be sent to parents via the Remind app. Please watch for these updates. The enrollment packet will include a full list of the additional safety precautions and policies that will be in effect this summer due to COVID-19.


Because of extremely limited space in the program this summer, payment for the full summer is required to secure your slot– even if your child does not attend a specific week. Payments can still be made weekly; however, no pro-ration will be offered should the family go on vacation or the child not attend some weeks/days for any reason. All fees are due no later than Friday at 5:30pm for the following week.

  • If no payment is received by Friday at 5:30pm, a $5 per child late fee will be attached Monday morning.
  • If we do not receive a payment by Monday at 5:30pm, a $10 per child late fee will be attached.
  • If we do not receive a payment by Tuesday at 5:30pm, your child’s Club privileges will be suspended and they will not be able to attend until all fees AND late fees are paid in full. Your child’s slot is subject to being reassigned to a member on the wait list.

The rate for the Summer 2020 Program is $75 per week (7:30am-5:30pm).* A registration fee of $40 for all those who did not participate in the 2019/2020 School Year program is also required. Payment for the first week, and the registration fee if applicable, are required to secure your spot.  

*Financial aid and scholarships are available and may be requested by completing the financial aid application, available here. The Pulaski Club’s fee will be $40 per week. The Teen Center will continue its reduced rate structure for teens.

 To help maintain social distancing and limit in person interactions and parent lines at sites, payments will ONLY be accepted electronically this summer, either through automatic bank draft, or electronic invoices emailed to parents. Instructions will be provided in the application packet.

Drop Off / Pick Up Guidelines:

As an additional safety precaution due to COVID-19, parents, visitors, and guests will not be permitted into the Club facilities. Club staff will check identification through the doors and escort children to the door to meet their parent/guardian. Drop off each day is 7:30am – 9am. Members must be on site, signed in, and back with their class by 9am. Pick up time begins at 3pm – 5:30pm. After 5:30pm, late fees will be charged and are outlined below per the Parent Handbook.

**Please Note: There is no Registrar from 9am-3pm each day. We cannot buzz you in during that time to pick up your child. Please be sure your child is here by 9am and picked up after 3pm.**

 Late Fee Policy:

We will make every effort to accommodate your work schedule to ensure that every child can attend the Club. However, if you cannot pick up your child by closing time then we ask that you call with an estimated pick up time.

In the event that your child is left at the Club after closing (5:30pm) and we do not receive a phone call, the following fees apply each time the incident happens:

  1. Forgiveness is Best
  2. $5.00 Late Fee*
  3. $10.00 Late Fee*
  4. Club Privileges will be SUSPENDED**   

*Must be paid before your child returns to the Club.         

**Suspended until we resolve the issue.

 If your child has not been picked up by closing time, we will attempt to contact you and each of your transportation contacts. If we are not able to reach anyone, we will have no choice but to contact the authorities. This is a scary situation for children and one we would all like to avoid. Therefore, please be sure you keep up to date contact information for yourself and all your transportation contacts on file with the Club. In particular, please notify us immediately of any changes to your cell phone number.
