Presented by Community First Bank & Trust, this inspirational event will take place on Tuesday, April 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the upstairs space at Puckett’s Downtown Columbia. The event will feature the Club’s 2017 Youth of the Year, Jessica Harrison, who will share her moving story about how the Club has helped her come out of her shell and overcome obstacles in her life. Other Club members will share personal stories and present a special program for luncheon guests. You will also have an opportunity to meet several Club kids who will sit each table and give you their very own business cards listing dreams and goals for their future.
Superintendent of Maury County Schools Dr. Chris Marczak and Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County CEO Robyn Boshers Peery will provide an update on the historic partnership launched last August between the Club and Maury County Public Schools. In just three months last year, the Club expanded its program from 200 kids a day to serving more than 600 youth county wide. Dr. Marczak and Peery will share their vision of ensuring every child reaches their full potential while highlighting the future of education in Maury County.
The annual “Great Futures Luncheon” is one of the Club’s main fundraising events and is attended by more than 300 community leaders. Seating is limited and has sold out in past years. Tables for eight adults are available for $2,000 while individual tickets are $250. Corporate sponsorships are also available. All proceeds benefit the day-to-day operation of 11 Club locations, programs focused on healthy lifestyles, good character and citizenship, and academic success.
